Your TCP stack may be corrupted by spyware that had modified the way your PC connects to the internet.
Go grab a copy of winsockfix, run it. It works most of the time... Nice little program! I'll post a link here as soon as I have a chance.
Lowzones:
After you have been infected with lowzones, your internet security zones will
probably be a mess. First, download this registry file and save it to your desktop. Extract it to your desktop. Then go to HKCU\Windows\Currentversion\Internet
settings\zones. Under domains, you will probably see a long list of bullshit
domains. Delete the entire Zones key. Delete the entire Zonemap key. Exit the
registry editor. Double click on the registry key file you just downloaded and extracted.
Say yes. Voila, that should restore the zone settings. Restart the computer
and give it a try.
